Role: Assistant Sales Manager
Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 48 per week, 5 days, Monday to Sunday.
* Due to the nature of the role, a driving licence held for more than a year is required. Infrequent travel to other Motorpoint locations may be necessary.
Overview
Our Assistant Sales Managers are responsible for supporting and driving the performance of our sales team. They coach and motivate the team to deliver success and work alongside the Sales Manager to lead, engage and motivate the team to deliver high levels of customer service and profitability.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, commercially-minded leader who develops individuals through 1-1s, team meetings, development plans and teaching others to do the same. You are accountable for your store’s sales performance and will collaborate with on-site functions to meet targets, overcome obstacles and ensure customers have a positive purchase experience.

Responsibilities
* Lead daily team briefings to align focus and energise the team.
* Monitor and review KPIs, and implement action plans to drive performance.
* Support and coach team members through regular 1-1s and development plans.
* Manage customer records and sales leads to maximise conversion and retention.
* Act as a second point of contact for customers, adding value and resolving concerns.
* Analyse sales trends and produce reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
* Plan and manage team resources, including rotas and annual leave.
* Champion team recognition and celebrate success.
* Enhance the team’s presence on social media to support brand visibility.
* Contribute to long-term people and performance strategies.
* Lead the sales team in the absence of the Sales Manager when required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven track record in a car sales environment or team leader experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Articulate and confident communicator with a positive attitude and the ability to inspire others.
* Strong ability to establish rapport and build relationships quickly.
* Passionate, determined, well-organised with an analytical approach to problem solving.
