Overview
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team at Portakabin, based in Hamilton and covering the Paisley Region. The role involves structured business development activities including local and national campaigns, with a focus on face to face meetings, discovering client needs and achieving orders while delivering excellent customer service. The role promotes the Company's hire business, including modular toilet, shower and changing room buildings and added value products and services from across the Division. The Customer Charter must be followed. The role is target driven with the key focus on order winning, and internal IT systems (CRM and SharePoint) should be mastered to ensure information is current and accurate.
Working alongside Projects and Service teams in the region, as well as Divisional support functions, the role holder should be an efficient communicator with a strong teamwork ethic.
Base pay range
Role: Area Sales Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + Car + Commission

Responsibilities
* Be accountable for delivering targets for the year for the designated catchment area, including contract value, order numbers, visits and other commercial KPIs.
* Carry out structured business development, local and national campaigns, including cold calling within the designated area to achieve order targets.
* Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
* Generate orders by attending customer sites.
* Maximise added value by promoting the full range of Building Services.
* Complete the customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with business and quality processes for own catchment area, including ISO 9001.
* Effectively use internal systems (e.g., SAP, CRM) to keep customer information up to date and aligned.
* Liaise with Service Manager regarding refurbishment, fitting out, deliveries, rectifications and terminations as directed.
* Accelerate collection of monies owed in line with company guidelines and procedures.

Our ideal candidate
* Proven commercial experience, including face to face sales and business development
* Strong experience in business development activities (campaign calling and cold calling)
* Ability to work independently and drive new initiatives
* Strong B2B sales experience
* Solid understanding of software packages including MS Excel and PowerPoint
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above; education to A Level standard is desirable
* Ability to stay up to date with competitor information and market trends
* Full UK Driving Licence
