3.5 Ton Van Driver
Location: Based out of Gillingham
Hours: Covering Monday to Sunday but mainly Monday to Friday guaranteed 45hrs
6am start to finish normally around 4pm -6pm
Pay rate : £30,256.00 (Paid Breaks)
Please note: COOK will carry out driving licence checks to appointed drivers. You must also be willing to train as a HGV Driver within a year of joining Cook
Your Team
Part of the COOK Logistics team, based from our East hub based in Gillingham. Our delivery drivers are not just drivers spending time on the road, there they are the friendly faces driving a branded COOK van, being the best ambassador while building a rapport with our customers.
The Role
Responsibilities include:
* Deliver Orders to both COOK shops and Concession Partners according to COOKs procedures.
* Ensure deliveries are completed safely as per COOKs Health and Safety requirements.
* Ensure legal compliance with regard to Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive. Keep records of vehicle mileage.
* Comply with all relevant traffic regulations, including adhering to Speed Limits, driving in a safe and responsible manner whilst ensuring deliveries are delivered in a timely fashion.
* Take responsibility for loading and unloading your own packages onto the vehicle/into our customers shops ensuring no damage to product.
* Responsible for ensuring that the temperatures in the vehicle are within the safe permitted range and provide air temperature of the vehicle at the end of the run, in printed report where possible.
* Ensure the vehicle is kept in a good working condition and all daily safety checks are completed and any defects reported through the Defect Reporting System
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
* Be safe and confident behind the wheel of a 3.5t van.
* Some experience in multi-drop delivery.
* Good knowledge of the local areas and roads is a plus.
