Lead Maintenance Engineer
Opportunity to join a fast paced technology manufacturing business and play a key role ensuring machinery is optimised to perform at its best in a complex highly automated manufacturing environment.
What you’ll be doing:
* Plan and manage technical resource daily to cover maintenance schedules, breakdowns and new machinery introduction
* Minimise downtime of complex electrical and mechanical production equipment
* Investigate machine related defects / quality issues
* Support introduction of new machinery
* Produce, review and monitor departmental KPIs
* Work with other departments on new production introduction and continuous improvement projects
What you will bring to the role:
* Extensive experience maintaining complex automated production machinery
* Ability to guide machine or PLC programming
* Experience operating in a highly regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, medical device, defence or aerospace.
* Management of PPM schedule and production and analysis of departmental & machinery KPIs
* Successful completion of NPI and CI projects
* Formal engineering qualification, preferably electrical however a mechanical qualification will be considered with relevant experience
* Previous maintenance team management or co-ordination experience
This role is shift based - early and lates over a 9 day fortnight with no overnight working.
