Qlik Developer
6 Month contract initially + Extensions
Based: Watford/Hybrid - 1-2 days p/w onsite
Rate: £450 - £500 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities
* Support business teams by delivering high performing data cubes for reporting users.
* Maintain clear documentation of the Qlik data design and mappings
* Create high quality & compelling storytelling through simple to understand data visualizations that support the business decision-making and provide insight into the business data
* Provide a narrative view to support the client-facing teams provision of quarterly customer account reviews
* Manage escalations and troubleshooting requests from the Commercial, Finance or other Qlik users and App Support in IT.
* Monitor the day-to-day operation of the data loads and refreshes.
* Communicate effectively with reporting stakeholders and build relationships with users around the business.
* Work with users to ensure requirements are understood and achievable.
* Working with third party developers / partners to formulate technical solutions to meet business needs.
* Ensure compliance of the Qlik platform with IT policies by reviewing and amending security, data protection, data retention and storage, change management procedures.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve process effectiveness and/or deliver strategic goals.
* Ensure Qlik knowledge is up to date.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of Qlik view design / visualization with at least 5 years' experience and at least 2 year as a Qlik developer
* Knowledge of Oracle / SQL would be highly desirable and beneficial
* Understanding of data warehousing and ETL
* Tenacity to see multiple tasks through to successful completion at any given time
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and demanding targets
* Strong attention to detail with an excellent customer service ethos
* Personal presence and credibility; demonstrating enthusiasm and self-motivation

* Responsible for end-to-end design and development of Qlik Cloud reporting applications, in addition to the performance and integrity of our Qlik application
* Mentoring of the reporting users of Qlik and a point of escalation for queries
* Responsible for ensuring the compliance of the Qlik Cloud platform with IT policies including security, data protection, data retention and storage, change management
