We’re partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation seeking a Manufacturing Production IT MES Engineer to join their operations team on a permanent basis
This is a hands-on, technically challenging role supporting high-volume production systems and driving digital transformation across manufacturing operations. You’ll act as the link between IT, engineering, and production, ensuring system reliability, delivering integration projects, and contributing to wider Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high up-time and reliability of manufacturing IT and MES systems supporting assembly operations
* Troubleshoot and resolve system and hardware issues on production lines, ensuring minimal downtime
* Design and implement integration solutions connecting hardware such as scanners, RFID, and printers to MES systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and production process improvements
* Translate business and production requirements into technical specifications and IT change requests
* Participate in digitisation and automation projects, contributing to continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 goals
* Create and maintain technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team
* Provide mentorship and technical support to colleagues and production staff
Essential
* Strong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or assembly management systems
* Hands-on experience integrating production hardware (scanners, printers, RFID)
* Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing environments
* Proven involvement in Industry 4.0 or digitisation projects
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Exposure to AMS+ or similar MES platforms
* Familiarity with PLCs, scripting, or database integration for production systems
* Experience within automotive, electronics, or advanced manufacturing sectors
