Responsibilities
* Teach English across relevant secondary year groups on a full-time basis
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
* Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs and abilities
* Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
* Support pupils in building confidence and enthusiasm for English
* Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal English Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong English teaching experience
* Confident delivering English at KS3 and KS4
* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
* Good organisational and communication abilities
* Able to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
* Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
