The role
* Support processing operations by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work, and proactively correcting and modifying recurring machine processing faults.
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize focus on the nominated production area.
* Fault‑find effectively and efficiently, utilizing machine historical documentation.
* Establish harmonious relations with operational staff and work flexibly with them.
* Pro‑actively reduce engineering downtime and continuously improve the process and the department.
* Carry out engineering project work.
* Other relevant duties as required from time to time.
Person Specification
* Relevant experience within an FMCG/food processing/manufacturing environment.
* Relevant experience in industrial and electrical engineering (multi‑skilled) with a stronger bias in electrical.
* Formal qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Boiler operating experience.
* Strong understanding of H&S.
* PLC fault‑finding/diagnostic skills.
* HACCP compliance knowledge.
* Electrical test and inspection trained.
* Welding trained.
* PLC trained.
* Breathing apparatus and confined spaces qualified.
