We’re looking for an organised and dynamic Bed Manager to join our team and help ensure patients receive timely access to the right care, in the right place, at the right time. As a Bed Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating hospital bed capacity, ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the organisation. Working closely under the clinical leadership of the Clinical Site Manager, you will oversee admissions, discharges, and transfers to maximise bed utilisation and support clinical teams across the site. This is a fast-paced and highly rewarding role at the heart of hospital operations — perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Advert Key Responsibilities: Coordinate real-time bed allocation across all wards and departments. Monitor and manage patient flow from Emergency Department, elective admissions, and transfers. Work closely with clinical teams, discharge coordinators, and operational managers to optimize bed usage. Escalate capacity issues and implement surge plans during periods of high demand. Ensure compliance with NHS targets, including ED 4-hour standard and elective recovery plans. Maintain accurate bed status information and produce daily capacity reports.
