Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Pay: £143 to £223 per day (dependent on experience)

Setting: Small SEMH school for pupils aged 7 to 16
Reeson Education is recruiting a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH setting in the M27 area from September. This full-time SEN Teacher role offers a rewarding opportunity to teach pupils aged 7 to 16 who present with a variety of needs, including SEMH, trauma, brain injury, anxiety, and behavioural challenges.
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally and academically. The school provides a creative and flexible curriculum, focused on meeting the needs of the whole child and supporting every pupil to succeed.
SEN Teacher - Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons as an SEN Teacher across key stages (based on experience/specialism)
2. Differentiate work to meet pupils' individual EHCP targets and learning needs
3. Build strong relationships and foster trust with pupils who have experienced trauma and disrupted education
4. Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to behaviour and engagement
5. Work alongside TAs, the SENCO and wider team to create a holistic support framework
6. Lead engaging, accessible and practical learning experiences
7. Monitor and track pupil progress and adapt planning accordingly
8. Provide consistency, structure and care as a reliable and compassionate SEN Teacher
9. Liaise with families and external professionals where appropriate
10. Be a calm and confident presence in the classroom and school environment
SEN Teacher - Requirements:
11. QTS or QTLS with experience as an SEN Teacher or SEMH Teacher
12. Confidence teaching pupils with SEMH, anxiety, trauma and behavioural needs
13. A nurturing, emotionally intelligent and resilient teaching style
14. Strong classroom and behaviour management grounded in empathy and understanding
15. Ability to plan for a wide range of needs and implement differentiated strategies
16. Passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils
17. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
18. Full-time availability from September 2025
