Job Description: Chair of the Board | CellMine
About CellMine
CellMine
TM
is a UK-based start-up developing the next generation of battery recycling technology. Our dual-technology platform combines Reformulate – a sulphate-free, morphology-controlled chemical recycling process for high-performance cathode active material (CAM) production – and Revive, a long-term direct recycling route positioned for giga-factory waste and, in the future, EV and stationary energy storage batteries. We are the only company developing both chemical and direct recycling pathways, enabling us to serve the needs of current and future battery markets.
We are currently progressing from TRL4 to TRL6 moving to develop our Small-Scale Sampling Line (SSSL), supported by the UK's APC Mobilise programme and a live seed raise. This stage will provide OEM-grade validation material to cathode producers and automotive partners, unlocking commercial licensing agreements and setting the stage for full-scale deployment.
Purpose of the Role
As Chair, you will work closely with the CEO to bring strategic oversight, commercial guidance, industry access, and governance expertise; helping CellMine transition from an R&D-led venture to a commercially scaled, industry-integrated business. You will challenge our thinking, champion our vision, and guide us through critical milestones – from deepening OEM relationships to securing Series A investment and scaling towards commercial deployment.

Start-up Orientation
