Join Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 8c Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Clinical Health Psychology.
The Clinical Health Psychology Service provides specialist psychological assessments, interventions and consultancy to colleagues across a range of Physical Health specialities within University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The service will transition under a TUPE agreement to University Hospital Birmingham by the end of March 2026. We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and committed Lead Consultant to develop physical‑health services and support a growing, collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
* Advise services on business cases for patients’ psychological needs.
* Lead and develop inpatient and outpatient Physical Health psychology services.
* Collaborate with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Cancer Services and the Consultant Lead for Clinical Neuropsychology.
* Support the expansion of services into new sub‑specialties and develop business cases with the new Director of Psychology and Clinical Service Manager.
* Supervise Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists and contribute to teaching and research.
