Overview
As a colleague within our team of Accuracy Checking Technicians you will be working in both the inpatient and new outpatient dispensaries and be responsible for supplying oral chemotherapy and supportive medicines to patients of The Christie Trust.
ACTs with little or no prior chemotherapy experience are welcomed to apply, full and comprehensive training and support will be provided by our existing expert team members, many of whom have come from a community pharmacy background.
Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council is a prerequisite to applying for this position.
Responsibilities
* Contributing to the delivery of exceptional pharmacy services to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust
* Participate in inpatient, outpatient and discharge dispensing including unlicensed and controlled drugs (CD).
* Perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions that have previously been clinically checked by a pharmacist in accordance with Trust and departmental procedures.
* Operate with Trust electronic dispensing systems, iQemo and CMM.
