The role
We're recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer to support and develop a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment for a Leicester-based organisation.
This role offers broad exposure across traditional on-prem infrastructure and modern cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Azure and VMware. You'll be responsible for maintaining stability across the on-prem estate while helping evolve the organisation's cloud environment in line with best practice.
Working alongside infrastructure and service teams, you'll handle day-to-day support, escalations and improvements across both on-prem and cloud systems, as well as contributing to upgrades and technical change.
What you'll be doing
1. Supporting on-prem infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
2. Administering VMware hosts and virtual machines within the on-prem environment
3. Managing patching, firmware upgrades and lifecycle activities across on-prem servers
4. Supporting enterprise storage and backup platforms, including recovery testing
