Role Description: Join Our Team as a Waking Night Support Worker - Maternity Cover.
Location: Filton, Bristol
Salary: £12.30 per hour plus benefits
Hours: 24 hours on a shift rota basis Monday-Sunday
Contract: Part-time, Fixed Term Contract, 1 year Maternity Cover
Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is preferable but not essential

Who will you be supporting?
At South Gloucestershire Support Service in Filton, we’re proud to support eight amazing adults with a diverse range of abilities, including visual impairments, autism, and learning disabilities. The people we support are active and enjoy community activities such as discos, pubs, shopping trips, and time with family. We also have a passion for creativity and the arts, with visits to local theatres, craft workshops, concerts, and choirs. Every day is about living life to the fullest, celebrating individuality, and creating opportunities to thrive.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate exposure to two of the following areas of expertise:
* Sight loss
* Autism
* Learning Disabilities

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of someone’s journey towards living their best life. Responsibilities include:
* Daily Care & Support: Personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
* Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals and encouraging creative exploration.
* Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies.
* Respect & Dignity: Treating individuals and their families with respect, dignity, and equality.
