We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Advanced Clinical Paediatric Audiologist to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. This role is primarily hospital‑based split across two main sites, with some community activity to support children and families. While the focus is on the provision of paediatric audiological assessment and rehabilitation for all age groups, the postholder will also support activity within the adult service.
The role involves delivering comprehensive audiological care to both paediatric and on occasion adult patients, including behavioural and objective assessments, hearing aid fittings, and rehabilitation. It requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams such as ENT specialists, paediatricians, speech and language therapists, and education professionals.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Bone Conduction Hearing Implant Service
* Participating in community clinics
* Maintaining accurate clinical records
* Adhering to British Society of Audiology procedures for all processes including aural impressions
* Flexibility to work across multiple sites and perform duties aligned with service banding
Leadership and Management
* Mentoring junior staff
* Contributing to clinical governance
* Supporting SOP review and appraisals
* Arranging personal workload and supporting countywide service delivery
Research and Service Development
* Engaging in research and service development initiatives, including audits and protocol design
* Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
* Adaptability in interactions with service users
