About the Role
Confident and skilled Social Workers are needed to work in the Children's Emergency Duty Team (CEDT) on a sessional basis in Children Services. The role involves providing out‑of‑hours support for safeguarding children and young people across Sutton, Merton, Kingston and Richmond.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Out of Hours Service by working evenings, nights and weekends.
* Conduct carer assessments and eligibility assessments.
* Plan and review child protection and safeguarding actions.
* Provide advocacy and representation to promote an individual’s human rights.
* Respond to daily enquiries, initial safeguarding, and protection planning.
* Lead investigations and work collaboratively with relevant parties to support families.
Qualifications
Confident and skilled Social Workers with experience in safeguarding and child protection.
