HSE Manager - Manufacturing - Derbyshire
We represent a well-established multinational manufacturer in the recruitment of an accomplished Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to lead and support all HSE projects and programmes on a diverse, technically complex and high hazard manufacturing facility
This progressive manufacturer seek a HSE Manager to support the site in continuous improvement, to develop and sustain ‘world class’ levels of HSE behaviours and culture, providing leadership and expertise in best practice around HSE and legal compliance, and coaching and advising functional leaders. This person will work with the SLT and Group support to further develop the SHE strategy for the site, driving ongoing behavioural safety initiatives, encouraging visible safety leadership, providing consistent process hazard analysis and ensuring root cause investigation of all incidents and near misses to ensure corrective action every time.
Key skills
* Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent BSc.
* Significant experience specialising in a Safety Leadership role, within a manufacturing environment is essential – chemical processes preferred
* Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong safety culture, and good evidence of a modern and progressive approach to SHE
* Can quote strong examples of enhancing safety culture through behavioural safety programmes
* Previous experience is root cause problem solving and leading root cause analysis investigations with multifunctional teams
* Sound knowledge of all current UK Health and Safety legislation in high risk manufacturing environments
* Strong leadership skills and an inclusive, motivational and coaching style of management
* Ability to sit on a leadership team as a subject matter expert for HSE.
* Excellent IT and report writing/presentation skills
