We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join our established Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team.
The core responsibilities will largely relate to transactional-based instructions across the UK with the opportunity to assist on pan-European projects. The workload will be varied, including technical advisory, professional, and heritage project work, with flexibility to accommodate the specific skill sets and aspirations of the applicant.
The successful candidate should be technically excellent, with broad experience in commercial surveying, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys. The ability to manage multiple instructions is essential.
The role involves a varied workload, often balancing different instructions simultaneously.
The candidate will focus on service delivery, working as part of a larger team to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients. Confidence in direct client communication is required.
Effective time management to meet deadlines and ensure profitability is crucial.
The key focus will be on TDD advice and reporting to identify risks, assess their severity and quantification, and recommend mitigation strategies. The role includes predominantly Technical Due Diligence, with some professional work across various building types, mainly commercial and heritage.
Responsibilities also include managing and undertaking professional technical consultancy commissions, communicating effectively, liaising with Project Managers and Team Leaders for financial control, and providing regular updates to the Sector Director. Mentoring and supervising junior surveyors is also part of the role.
