Job Title: Deputy Support Manager

Location: Burnley - Lancashire

Contract: Temporary to cover 9 Months Maternity Leave

Hours: Full time 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £29.83, increasing to £30.62 on the 1st of July

Annual Leave entitlement: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays

Additional Information: Driver required

At Thera North, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, delivering person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

As a Deputy Support Manager, you will mentor teams, coach support staff, and drive continuous improvement. You will ensure practice leadership is developed, recognised, and reflected in all we do. You will work on shift as part of the rota, acting as a role model of best practice. Your responsibilities include supporting individuals to design their support plans, assisting with rota management, maintaining records, addressing concerns, conducting audits, and deputising for the Support Manager when needed. At all times, aim to empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights, and independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company.

Skills & Experience

* Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
* Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
* Confidence in using digital systems (e.g., Excel, care planning software).
* Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
