Welding Engineer / Inspector – NW UK £34 per hour outside IR35 average 40-50hr billing week overtime paid travel time long-term contract work (6-months rolling) Welding Engineer / Inspector responsibilities include: * Field-based role, providing inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction across various fabrication sites in Liverpool & the Northwest. * Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control. * Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations. * Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs. * Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers. Welding Engineer / Inspector profile: * An experienced Welding Engineer / Inspector, ideally with at least 3yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control) * C&G Cert in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in Engineering discipline. * CSWIP 3.1/3.2PCN * Current or expired PCNs Radiographic Interpretation and Dye Penetrant Inspections Level II OR other * Sound understanding of Materials, Welding and NDE techniques. * Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries / on large construction sites. * Clean UK driving Licence use of own car If the above Welding Engineer / Inspector contract looks of interest, then please send us your CV and one of our consultants will be in touch
