Responsible to Bakehouse Production Manager
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support the day-to-day cleanliness and organisation of our bakehouse. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic working environment for the production team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Washing bakery equipment, utensils, and tools
2. Tray washing and maintaining clean baking equipment
3. Dealing with deliveries of goods in, stock handling and stock rotation
4. Cleaning and sanitising work areas, surfaces, and floors
5. Supporting proper ingredient storage and organisation
6. Waste management, including disposal and recycling
7. Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at all times
Essential:
8. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
10. Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
11. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
12. Available to work 5 days per week
13. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Desirable:
14. Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or cleaning role
15. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
16. Experience using commercial dishwashing equipment
17. Understanding of safe manual handling practices and COSHH
