Stratford-upon-Avon is a historic town located in the picturesque countryside of Warwickshire. It is famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare. With its charming Tudor style building, cobblestone street and tranquil River Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon offers a delightful blend of history, culture and natural beauty. The practice will be going through an exciting rebrand very soon and provides excellent facilities and access to the equipment and space needed to care for patients. Ideally situated in one of the new Pets at Home concept stores, we have built a strong local reputation and see a varied caseload from our loyal client base. You will have the opportunity to thrive in an independent practice environment whilst being part of a friendly and close team.
We are looking for a motivated, experienced vet who wants to have a real input in the practice and help us stay at the forefront of clinical thinking while maintaining our ethos of putting pets first.

The right candidate must have good surgical and medical skills, some experience in emergency surgery, and also be an excellent communicator. We will offer you the opportunity to gain a wide range of all-round responsibilities in the practice, including sole charge, so you must be confident in routine surgery and consultations.
Responsibilities
* Work in an independent practice environment as part of a friendly team, contributing to high standards of patient care.
* Provide routine surgery and medical consultations, including occasional sole charge.
* Participate in a varied caseload and stay at the forefront of clinical thinking while upholding the practice ethos of putting pets first.
* Engage in professional development and CPD, including postgraduate qualifications or certificates with support from the practice.
* Collaborate with the team to maintain excellent client service and practice standards.
Qualifications
* Good surgical and medical skills.
* Some experience in emergency surgery.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Motivated and capable of contributing to practice development and decision-making.
Details
* Role: Part-time veterinary surgeon
* Hours: 30 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends
* Occasional sole charge; no out-of-hours (OOH) work
* Salary: up to £70,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
