Are you an experienced SEN practitioner with a calm, confident approach and a passion for supporting children with complex needs?
A caring and inclusive mainstream primary school just west of Chichester is seeking a resilient and skilled 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to making a real difference.
Your Role Will Include:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with ASD and emotional/behavioural regulation needs.
* Implementing strategies to support engagement, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
* Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external professionals.
Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing space for learning and development.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural needs.
* A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach.
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency.
Ability to drive – due to the school's location outside central Chichester.
