Strutts is looking for casual Front of House staff to join our team in 2025. This is a great opportunity to join a small, volunteer-focussed team in the delivery and smooth running of all kind of events, with room to grow and develop. The Welcome Team are the first point of contact for visitors to the venue, ensuring customers and visitors are provided with friendly, efficient and effective customer service.
Working alone and as part of a team you will staff the office or bar, you will help people find their way around the building, ensure customer safety, hand out keys, take payments from customers and secure the building at close. This includes responding to customer enquiries both in person and over the phone. You will play an important role in the fire evacuation procedure and ensuring the health and safety of the venue and customers at all times.
Post holders must be resourceful, energetic self-starters who require little supervision, are innovative and can adapt to any situation, with exceptional customer service skills and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to work mainly evenings and weekends as part of the role.
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience working in bar work or customer-facing roles
* An interest in assisting the community, arts and culture
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* To act as a first point of contact and be the face of the venue, dealing with customer enquiries, handing out keys to customers and signposting where they want to go.
* To maintain a friendly, and helpful service with customers, employees and everyone that comes into contact with the theatre.
* Acting as bar staff during evenings and at weekends, maximising sales to customers.
* Comply at all times with the building's licensing requirements and Health and Safety policy.
