This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is committed to creating engaging, tailored learning experiences for pupils with diverse additional needs. Your day-to-day role will be supporting a small group of children, generally between 3-5 in total with learning, emotional and behavioural support. No 2 days are the same so this role required someone who thrives in varied environments and isn't afraid of the unknown. About the Role: As a SEND Tutor, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering personalised education and supporting pupils who may require one-to-one or small-group intervention. Working closely with the SENCO and Teaching staff, you will: Be involved with differentiated lessons that meet each pupil’s individual learning goals Support pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties Create a calm, nurturing learning environment that encourages progress and confidence Implement effective strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement Assess progress, record outcomes, and adapt approaches to meet ongoing needs Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies to ensure holistic support We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will be passionate about SEND education and experienced in adapting teaching to meet individual needs. You will: Have experience supporting or teaching pupils with SEND in school or alternative provision settings Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills Be able to support teachers deliver lessons that inspire, motivate, and build confidence Be flexible, creative, and dedicated to helping every child succeed Have experience as a Youth support worker or similar What You’ll Receive: At TeacherActive, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
