About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities include planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you're encouraging Residents to socialize more effectively, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, your approach will always be rooted in kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with a background in developing activity programs. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are crucial. You should be considerate and kind in all communications with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
We offer full training, providing a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you'll enjoy a variety of benefits supporting your physical and psychological well-being, including:
* Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG.
* Free uniform.
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
* Group life assurance cover.
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access.
* Learning and development opportunities with support to achieve qualifications.
