The Mitre, Shaftesbury is a beautiful country pub set on the high street near the wonderful Gold Hill. It is a 'Best of British' pub serving the very best seasonal fresh produce as well as some fantastic ales & fine wines, all served with a fabulous view of The Blackmore Vale.
With 2024 set to be epic with a summer full of sunshine, sport and drinks looking over the Blackmore vale, we're looking for a chef de partie to support our long standing head chef Karol, take the Mitre to the next level while we continue the growth the business has been on for the past 15 months, the opportunities are endless.

What we look for in a Commis Chef:
We are looking for an existingCommis Chef, an excellent Kitchen Porter or an individual looking for theirnext step to their hospitality career, who consider themselves to have apassion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makespeople feel welcome. As the successful Commis Chef you will:
9. Be an active hands-on person with a passion towork hard as part of a team
10. Have high standards and a great work ethic
11. Show willingness to learn new skills; be anactive team player with excellent communication skills
12. Working alongside your kitchen team; you will beable to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver topquality service
13. Demonstrate great planning and organisationalskills to complete day to day tasks
