An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to provide senior leadership support to the Acute Oncology team. The post holder will deliver professional and operational priorities and manage the Acute Oncology Nursing team, ensuring safe, effective and patient‑centred care. They will support colleagues across the organisation, providing visible leadership and management of services to promote safe integrated patient pathways and efficient use of resources.
Key components of this role:
 * Ensure safe and effective clinical practice.
 * Design, implement and evaluate specialised programmes of care.
 * Enhance the patient’s experience of care.
 * Work collaboratively to manage and develop the performance of the Acute Oncology team.
 * Contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives.
 * Enable and promote patients’ independence.
 * Interpret and implement national policies at local level within the Oncology service, providing specialist advice to NHS Tayside.
Essential requirements:
 * UK NMC Registered Level 1 Adult Nurse.
 * Extensive post‑registration experience within an acute care setting as a Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
 * Master’s level education.
 * Evidence of continuing professional development and excellent clinical, leadership and communication skills.
 * Willingness to undertake further education specific to this role.
You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of this service. Hours of work: 25.53 per week.
