That's Grant Thornton. : Tax Manager / Associate Director - Private Client, Trusts Tax Working as part of our National Trusts Tax team, as a Manager you'll have the opportunity to manage a large and varied portfolio of clients with support from an exceptional network of senior leadership and junior colleagues. As an Associate Director you will also have the opportunity to be involved in aspects of the management of the team. A look into the role As a Manager within our Trusts Tax team you will: be afforded the opportunity to manage your own interesting portfolio of varied trust clients with the support of an outstanding management team. You'll be trusted to work effectively and any ideas for improvements to service will be listened to by senior management. take responsibility for developing more junior team members, including reviewing work prepared by them, understanding their career aspirations and support in this delivery. be actively involved in client meetings, concisely and confidently answering client queries. be involved in supporting senior management in producing high quality tax advice accurately, delivering on expectations and deadlines. support the wide Private Client team in client advisory work and projects. have an opportunity to join a large and high performing team within Grant Thornton. We're looking for individuals who are prepared to grow their internal network as you will have the opportunity to work with the wider Tax teams together with the wider GT network. As an Associate Director within our Trusts Tax Team you will also: take responsibility for reviewing the work prepared by junior members of the team, including more complex clients, to ensure delivery to the client. be involved in the performance management of junior team members and supporting where necessary to ensure they fulfil their career aspirations. have the opportunity to be involved in aspects of the management of the team, feeding in your ideas to Senior Management and assisting with the rolling out of any improvements or changes. Knowing you're right for us As a Manager you will have a working knowledge of Trusts Tax, Accounts and Estates and will have experience of managing a client portfolio. We're always on hand to offer support and guidance and are looking for colleagues who are invested in their professional and personal development. Joining us as a Manager, the minimum criteria you'll need is a professional qualification (CTA or STEP) with post qualification experience, and to be confident managing a portfolio clients. As an Associate Director you will also have experience of reviewing Trust Tax Returns, Trust Accounts and Estate Tax Returns and Accounts, including more complex cases. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'll help you develop along the way. Trusts and / or Private Client advisory experience (including advice on potential changes to Trusts, tax efficient trust payments and Inheritance Tax planning). A working knowledge of both onshore and offshore trusts Experience with a varied portfolio of trust clients.
