Build/Assembly Technician – Farnborough / Malvern | Optical & Precision Manufacturing

What You’ll Do:
* Manufacture and assemble products and components to specification from drawings and production systems.
* Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery; troubleshoot minor issues.
* Collect and document production data for quality tracking and reporting.
* Follow cleanroom, safety, and HSE standards to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
* Participate in training to learn new techniques and improve performance.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma practices.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in optical, laser, electronics, or high‑precision assembly.
* Fibre splicing experience (Fujikura, Sumitomo) is a plus.
* Knowledge of optical measurements: power meters, cut‑back methods, fibre stripping.
* Understanding of cleanroom procedures, ISO9001, and quality control.
* Skilled in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting production equipment.
* Vocational or technical training (A-levels, BTEC, NVQ) or equivalent experience.
