SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Southampton
Start Date: ASAP | £14.30 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work in schools across Southampton through Teaching Personnel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start work immediately, with both flexible and long-term roles available. Many of our long-term placements have the potential to lead to permanent positions directly with schools.
The Role:
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access learning
Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support
Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine desire to work with vulnerable children and young people
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
Experience in education, care, or support work is desirable but not essential
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Requirements:
A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Ability to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the last 24 months
Right to work in the UK
