As we continue our growth journey, we’re offering a rare and exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our team.
The Role
We’re looking for a Financial Controller with over 2 years of experience in a similar role to take ownership of key finance operations, controls, and reporting across the business. You’ll report directly to the Head of Finance and play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate financial insight to support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable and Management Accountants
* Ensure integrity of all accounting ledgers and financial data
* Deliver accurate and timely monthly and annual group management accounts
* Prepare consolidated group accounts, board packs, and trading reports
* Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
* Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and rolling forecasts
* Oversee internal controls, reconciliations, and financial compliance (VAT, corporate tax, P11Ds, PSA, etc.)
* Manage treasury functions, optimise payment terms, and preserve cash flow
* Provide regular customer profitability analysis and insight to non-financial stakeholders
* Own and maintain customer rebate schedules and ensure adherence to trading agreements
* Ensure effective bank controls, including dual authorisation and segregation of duties
* Support with internal audits and continuous process improvements
* Coach, mentor, and develop the Finance Team to foster a high-performing culture
* Lead and participate in key strategic finance and business projects
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-growth environment and is excited by the opportunity to build and shape a modern finance function.
What You’ll Need
* Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role
* A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical capability
* A confident communicator, able to engage and challenge stakeholders across all levels
* A problem-solver with a “glass half full” mindset
* Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a varied workload under pressure
* Experience working in a product-based or retail environment is desirable but not essential
