Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Durham
Contract: Long term temporary
Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for an SEMH school.
This school supports students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so experience working with SEMH or vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial.
The provision focuses on helping pupils successfully reintegrate into mainstream education while providing a structured learning environment.This school ensures that all pupils receive the guidance and opportunities needed to achieve their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
* HLTA qualification
* Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupils requirements
* Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
