Hybrid working: 3‑4 days per week on campus+remote. Campus locations:

About the Opportunity
As a Lecturer, you will support teaching and learning for STEM Foundation Year students across campuses. Your role will include:
* Deliver engaging lectures face‑to‑face and online for blended & distance learning.
* Take module leadership, develop teaching materials and assessment schemes.
* Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments and provide high‑quality feedback.
* Lead or support new programme development and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends.
* Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
* Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support and assessment.
* Assist with student orientation and assessment support (1‑1 tutorials, group sessions, resit clinics).
* Develop and share interactive resources such as videos, podcasts and activities for the VLE and in‑class activities.
* Support the delivery of the Pass First Time programme to STEM Foundation Year.
About You
We look for individuals who understand student engagement challenges and have experience teaching Computing and academic skills. You should be positive, empathetic and committed to improving student outcomes.
* Relevant master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
* Recognised HE Teaching Qualification and/or Advance HE Fellowship (FHEA/SFHEA) or a commitment to obtain within 12 months.
* Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) in teaching.
* Experience delivering Computing modules such as Python, Java, Database, Operating Systems, Networking, Digital Business/Ethics, IT Project Management, Cloud Computing, HCI/UX/Web Development or Cyber Security.
* Lecturers expected to start immediately as the programme launches in May 2025 with growth in September.
* Hybrid teaching: 3‑4 days per week on campus.
