McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant for our Birch Place development in Crowthorne, Berkshire. Built in 2018, Birch Place is a Retirement Living Plus development of 51 apartments catering to residents over 70, offering on‑site facilities and set in beautiful grounds.
Job Details
* Hourly rate: £14.12 per hour, plus up to £1.30 for evening and weekend hours.
* Hours: 22 per week (Week 1: afternoon and evening shifts; Week 2: early, afternoon and evening shifts).
About the role
As a Care Assistant you will provide high‑quality individual care to residents, supporting them to live well in later life. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleaning, and encourage residents to take part in activities that promote their health and wellbeing. You will assist with booking appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits, and helping with shopping.
About You
* Warm, friendly, with some experience in a care or support environment.
* Passionate about improving the wellbeing of older people and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy setting.
* Driven to deliver excellent customer service.
* Preferably holding a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, although alternative qualifications and relevant experience will also be considered.
