Job Summary
Band 2 Paediatric Ward Clerk - Kempton Day Bed Unit. Our Paediatrics department is excited to advertise a permanent full‑time Ward Clerk position in our children's Kempton Day Bed Unit.
Main duties of the job
* Front of house representation for the named ward, to meet and greet patients and families upon arrival. Ensure all patients and colleagues are treated courteously at all times in line with customer care standards and Trust values.
* Reception duties, checking patients in on hospital IT systems, communicate with clinical staff of arrivals and guiding patients and their relatives to appropriate waiting areas.
* Support nursing and clinical ward team with all administrative duties required for the role.
* Answering telephone enquiries promptly and efficiently, handling a variety of requests in a professional manner whilst upholding the hospitals CARE values throughout the interaction.

Essential
* GCSE or Equivalent A-C grades (including English)
* Experience in a customer care role with excellent communication skills
Desirable
* NHS administration course completion
* NHS administration experience/working in a patient facing role either in primary or secondary care
