About the role
We are looking for a talented Event Manager to take ownership of high-profile in-person and virtual events for the SJP community. This is an exciting opportunity to design, plan, and deliver impactful events that engage employees, partners, and clients, while supporting key areas of the business such as recruitment, IMA, and Private Client teams. You’ll play a key role in shaping memorable experiences that reflect our brand and values, managing everything from venue selection and supplier relationships to budgets and post-event evaluation.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple events across the corporate calendar, from briefing through to execution and evaluation.
* Managing venue searches, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
* Preparing detailed project plans covering logistics, budgets, and resources.
* Collaborating with senior directors, communications teams, and suppliers on event design and content.
* Overseeing onsite event delivery, including logistics, staffing, and issue resolution.
* Managing budgets, financial reconciliations, and reporting updates.
* Building positive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring seamless delivery.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
* Leading the delivery of large-scale, complex events with multiple stakeholders.
* Designing and tracking event evaluations to measure impact and ROI.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking an experienced Event Manager with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality events on time and within budget. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while staying calm under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills are key, as you’ll be working with senior leaders, suppliers, and team members to bring events to life.
Essential criteria
* Extensive experience managing large-scale in-person and virtual events.
* Strong project management skills, including budget and resource planning.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage suppliers effectively.
Desirable skills
* Experience within financial services or a corporate environment.
* Knowledge of risk management and compliance in event delivery.
