Brightpoint invites applications for its Nurse Faculty position. Our college is seeking qualified individuals who enjoy teaching a variety of nursing courses (within NA, LPN, and/or RN programs) in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats. Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, engaging students in the learning process, clinical supervision of students, course and curriculum development, student advising, and accurate maintenance of student files. Full-time faculty members fully participate in nursing program development and evaluation, college activities and committees, and represent Brightpoint at community events and professional opportunities. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must be enrolled in Master’s Degree program), Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Must have several years of experience in medical, surgical and/or pediatric nursing; excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, hybrid, and/or online classes, and flexibility to work at any of the College’s locations. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check.Additional Considerations:
Experience teaching at the college level, ability to use instructional technology, and knowledge of Virginia BON regulations and ACEN accreditation criteria.
