Job Title: Dental Implant Quality Controller

Reports to: Laboratory Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Implant Quality Controller to join our growing dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate must be GDC registered and have a solid background as a Dental Technician, with specific experience in dental implants. This role is critical in ensuring that all implant-related prosthetics meet stringent quality, compliance, and aesthetic standards before reaching the patient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and evaluate implant cases (e.g., crowns, bridges, bars, abutments) for accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics.
* Verify that all products comply with internal quality standards, GDC regulations, and MHRA requirements.
* Perform technical checks for fit, occlusion, contacts, shade, and material integrity.
* Collaborate with dental technicians and clinicians to resolve quality issues and recommend improvements.
* Maintain detailed documentation of quality control checks, corrective actions, and compliance reports.
* Support process improvement initiatives to enhance product consistency and reduce remakes or reworks.
* Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and quality standards.
* Act as a liaison between production and quality assurance teams, ensuring effective communication and workflow.
* Stay up to date with advancements in dental materials, CAD/CAM technology, and implant systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* GDC Registration (essential)
* Previous experience as a Dental Technician, with a strong focus on implant prosthetics (essential)
* Deep understanding of dental materials, implant workflows, and laboratory processes
* Strong attention to detail with an analytical and methodical approach
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with digital workflows (CAD/CAM), 3D printing, and milling systems (preferred but not essential)
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience with quality control or quality assurance within a dental lab
* Knowledge of ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory frameworks
* Passion for maintaining the highest standards of dental care and prosthetic accuracy
