Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
Location: 29-31 Montgomery Street, Belfast
Campaign Service/Cause: Volunteering
Remuneration: £25,476 - £27,919 Pro-rata
Overall Purpose of Post: The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organisation, ensuring adherence to data management strategies, effective monitoring, evaluation, and supporting volunteer recruitment, induction, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Co-ordination: Support recruitment strategies, oversee volunteer database, process Access NI checks, develop and deliver training, promote volunteer initiatives, liaise with external agencies, and maintain volunteer recognition and communication.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: Develop monitoring and evaluation processes, assess outcomes, support service development, and coordinate volunteer satisfaction surveys.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Review and develop volunteer policies, promote diversity, and ensure best practices in volunteer management.
4. Data and Information Management: Collect and analyze data, ensure GDPR compliance, and support external communication and fundraising efforts.
5. External Relationships: Build stakeholder relationships, attend external meetings, and develop partnerships.
6. General: Support volunteers as part of a multidisciplinary team, promote services, and perform other duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential: Experience in delivering training, organizing events, managing people or volunteers; GCSE English and Math; excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, IT skills; ability to work independently and in teams; adaptable, empathetic, committed to the values of Cancer Focus NI; valid driving license and access to transport.
Desirable: Experience in health and social care, community engagement, volunteer involvement, relevant qualifications, management training.
