If so, you could be a key player in the day-to-day leadership of our talented Business Advisory team in Plymouth. In this role, you'll oversee the review of final accounts and tax computations, contribute to training initiatives, and lead annual appraisals—helping shape the future of our team. This is a client-facing role where you’ll be encouraged to engage with clients regularly, offering ongoing support and strategic advice.

What you'll be doing day to day
You’ll work with entrepreneurial clients, providing guidance and support as their trusted advisor. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Leading client relationships
2. Monitoring budgets, time, and expenses
3. Reviewing working papers, accounts, and tax compliance
4. Offering tax, accounting, and commercial advice
5. Resolving accounting and tax issues
6. Ensuring compliance with firm standards
7. Maintaining long-term client relationships through effective communication
8. Discussing significant findings with the engagement Partner
9. Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients
About you
10. ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with relevant experience in a similar role
11. Experience of managing a portfolio of clients and assisting partners in maintaining client relationships
12. Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
13. Proven background supervising a team of accounts staff
14. Organised, accurate, flexible and able to plan use of time efficiently
15. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with both clients, team members and colleagues, with the aptitude to quickly build rapport
16. Excellent written and oral communication skills
