Job Overview
Join our friendly pharmacy clinical trials team. We support the expanding research activity across the Trust, providing pharmacy input to a large portfolio of drug studies in all clinical specialities. In partnership with the NIHR Royal Liverpool Clinical Research Facility and external sponsors, we manage the safe and accurate dispensing, labelling, recording, and temperature monitoring of trial medication at both the Aintree and Royal Liverpool Hospital sites.
Responsibilities
* Dispense clinical‑trial prescriptions and complete all required accountability paperwork.
* Receive deliveries of trial materials.
* Manage storage of investigational medicinal products, ensuring compliance with GCP, Trust SOPs and legislation.
* Attend monitoring visits and follow up actions.
* Handle the generic trials email inbox.
* Participate in training, the late and weekend rotas, and full in‑house procedures and policies.

Experience

Qualifications
* NVQ 2 (or equivalent) in dispensing.
* GCSE Grade A‑C in Mathematics and English (UK ENIC required).
Applicants without NVQ 2 may be considered for an annex 21 contract and enrolment on the NVQ2 apprenticeship course, provided they can evidence UK residency of at least three years and have not undertaken other pharmacy qualifications.
