Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen operations.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
