Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient Pre‑op Practitioner team on a fixed‑term basis covering maternity leave. The post holder will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic and General Surgery patients to ensure their optimal preparation prior to surgery. The ability to work autonomously, possession of clinical assessment skills and excellent communication skills are essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development is required and the role is within a diverse and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
 * Provide expert clinical care to Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic and General Surgery patients in a pre‑operative setting.
 * Work independently to assess patients and plan surgical readiness.
 * Communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary team members.
 * Engage in continual professional development and clinical practice improvement.
