In our mission to help change lives and build healthy, resilient communities in Somerset, we are currently recruiting a full time Development Manager.
Funded by the National Volunteering for Health programme, this exciting role will support the development of volunteering within the Rural Practice Network PCN, covering Wincanton, Castle Cary, Queen Camel and Milborne Port.
The role involves piloting new ways of working and supporting the needs of the community to improve health outcomes through volunteering and volunteers. It will also involve working with a range of partners within the PCN area to complement existing activity and explore new opportunities, ensuring activity is joined up and placing the volunteer at the heart.
It is anticipated that the learning from this work will help to inform a future county wide volunteering strategy.
We re seeking a creative individual with a strong understanding of local volunteering trends and experience in coordinating volunteer programs, capacity building, and co-production. You will be skilled in engaging diverse communities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting marginalised groups while promoting equality and inclusion.

This is a full time role, although we welcome applicants seeking part time or flexible working. The salary is £32,000 per annum.
The role will be predominantly based in Wincanton, with a large portion of time spent working within communities in the Rural Practice Network area. An ability to regularly travel to and around this area is essential.
