The Estates Manager reports to the Bursar and is responsible for all infrastructure and maintenance of College buildings, facilities and grounds (including sports pitches). The Estates Manager will plan, prioritise and co-ordinate the work of the Maintenance Team (4) and Grounds Team (3) to ensure the regular maintenance, repair and good presentation of College buildings and efficiency of its systems. Ensure all facilities meet statutory regulations, Health & Safety standards (eg fire regulations, policies and risk assessments). The Maintenance Team currently comprises an M&E operative; an electrician; a joiner; and a general building maintenance operative. The Estates Manager is expected to be multi-disciplined and able to direct and manage the in-house team and external contractors. The Estates Manager will oversee the management and work of the Grounds Team, which consists of a Head Groundsman and two Grounds Staff. The Estates Manager will also co-ordinate closely with the Facilities Manager, and other key support departments (IT, technicians, catering and cleaning staff) to ensure the College remains safe and operational during scheduled works and letting to outside organisations across the summer.
