Job Description:
Job Duties:
* Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of students at a SEMH school
* Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular tests and assignments
* Utilise creative teaching methods to engage students and enhance their learning experience
* Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Degree in English or related field
* Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Education:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in English or related field
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience:
* At least 2 years of experience teaching English in a school setting
* Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of the English curriculum and teaching methods
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective classroom management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Experience working in a SEMH school environment
Working Conditions:

* Location: SEMH school in Mitcham, Greater London
