SRM are partnering with a well-established, medium sized organisation undergoing a period of transformation and commercial growth to appoint a commercially orientated Chief Financial Officer.This is a Board-level leadership role, working closely with the CEO and Executive Team to shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and support the organisation’s long-term commercial development.The successful candidate will combine strategic financial leadership with a hands‑on approach, ensuring robust financial performance, strong governance and high-quality insight to support key business decisions.Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead the finance function and act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Board.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the organisation’s financial strategy, planning and performance managementOwnership of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to support growth and investment decisionsDelivering clear financial insight and commercial analysis to inform strategic decision makingEnsuring robust financial governance, controls and regulatory compliancePresenting financial performance and risk analysis to the Board and Executive Leadership TeamLeading the external audit process and managing key relationships with auditors and advisorsOversight of company secretarial and corporate governance mattersStrengthening financial systems, processes and reporting capability across the organisationWorking cross‑functionally with leadership teams to support data‑driven decision making and operational performanceACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualificationProven experience as a senior finance leader within a large organisation, 'knows what good looks like' bringing same disciplines to a scaling businessStrong experience across financial planning, reporting, governance and risk managementExperience presenting at Board and Executive levelStrong commercial judgement and the ability to translate financial insight into practical business decisionsExperience strengthening ERP systems, controls and processesA collaborative leadership style with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teamsComfortable working predominantly on‑site with hybrid working available when required.Why This Role?This is an opportunity to join an organisation with strong industry reputation and meaningful purpose, where the CFO will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s next phase of strategic and commercial development.The role offers significant exposure to the Board and senior leadership, with the opportunity to influence strategy, governance and long-term sustainability.Long term term there will be an opportunity to secure equity participation and will be discussed by SRM.
