Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Duties
* Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults and issues
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using schematics and diagnostic tools
* Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
* Assemble and install parts following technical specifications and assembly instructions
* Utilise welding techniques for structural repairs or modifications as required
* Maintain detailed service records and document repairs accurately
* Assist with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop safety and efficiency
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and advising on vehicle care
Skills
* Strong knowledge of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Experience in assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair within an automotive setting
* Good understanding of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
* Mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills to diagnose issues effectively
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
